Alla Parsons was born in Russia. Moving with the family from the mountains of Urals to the lakes of Karelia, she eventually appeared in the beautiful city of Saint Petersburg. After Alla received her Master of Art degree from Petrozavodsk State University, she completed all but the dissertation in History from the Russian Academy of Sciences in Saint Petersburg. Art, not history, was her true passion. Alla always expressed her emotions through drawing and graduated from Art School attending it after her regular school hours. She was teaching History in Petrozavodsk State and then English in a Technical College in Saint-Petersburg. She was also a certified guide in such museums as the Hermitage and Kizhi. In 2000 she met the Love of Her Life named Michael and moved with him to the US. Michael inspired her and encouraged to become a professional artist. In the US Alla earned a Bachelor and then a Master of Fine Arts Degrees.
She now works in oils and mixed media, although in the past she worked exclusively in watercolors. She exhibits nationally and internationally, her works received awards and are in private collections across the US, Canada, Russia and Germany. Her experience includes teaching public and private art classes.
