Auditions slated in February for ‘Meet Me in St. Louis’

SoVaNow.com / January 23, 2013
Auditions for the Clarksville Community Players next production, "Meet Me in St. Louis" will be held Feb. 8 from 6-9 p.m. at the Clarksville Fine Arts Center and Feb. 10, 2-5 p.m.

Everyone auditioning for a singing role must come prepared to sing a short solo. An accompanist will be provided for those bringing sheet music. Also, equipment will be on hand for using a CD or an mp3 copy of accompaniment. Simply singing without accompaniment is acceptable, too.

Those auditioning will be asked to “cold read” from the script. A copy of the script is available at the Clarksville library for 48-hour checkout. The full listing of roles is available at http://clarksvilleplayers.webs.com/upcoming auditions.htm. As always when producing a musical, musicians are needed! Stage hands, a props manager, lighting and sound techs are also all needed.

Call (434) 374-0058 to leave a message if you are a musician, want to volunteer for backstage work, or have a question about auditions.
