Fox on the Fairway auditions Feb. 11, 12

SoVaNow.com / January 29, 2013
If you are interested in making people laugh, mark your calendar for The Prizery’s upcoming auditions on Feb. 11 and 12 at 7 p.m.

The play, directed by Martin Beekman is “Fox on the Fairway“ and it promises to provide a full course of laughter from beginning to end where nothing is out-of-bounds!

The story centers around the annual grudge golf tournament between two rival country clubs as it tees off a madcap round of hilarity and mayhem.

A threesome of lovers, a disappearing diamond, a hefty wager and some of the ugliest sweaters ever worn by man highlight this uproarious comedy by America’s finest farceur, Ken Ludwig.

Hilarity has no handicap and a night of laughter is par for the course. So get your ball washer and don’t miss this opportunity for a hole in one! It’s sure to be a zinger!

Provided below is the character breakdown for the comedy.

Louise - 23-25, leggy, good natured, and a little bit ditzy. She is in her own world, which is very innocent and wonderful to visit. She works as a waitress at the golf club and is madly in love with Justin.

Justin - 25-27, a bundle of nerves, a bit offbeat, sweet, anxious and he is very dedicated to his mother. Wildly in love with Louise and has just been hired to work at the club.

Bingham - 40’s, he is the director of the club and is desperate to win the golf tournament. Conservative, proper, a button-down kinda guy.

Pamela - 40’s, she is a thrice married divorcee who is beautiful, stylish, soignée. She is a woman who has seen it all and enjoys her Champagne.

Dickie - 40’s, an unpleasant man full of false bonhomie. In other words, a bit of a blowhard!! He is the director of the rival club and he wears the ugliest sweaters known to man.

Muriel - 40’s, married to Bingham. An eccentric woman who knows what she wants and can browbeat anyone to get it!!
