Missing eggs to be recovered at SRBSP
SoVaNow.com / March 06, 2013Trees are budding, birds are chirping, flowers are blossoming, and the grass is growing greener: Spring is “hopping” in and Easter is right around the corner.
Come on out and enjoy a “good ole fashioned” Easter Egg Hunt at your local State Park – the Staunton River Battlefield State Park on Saturday, March 23 from 1.-3:30 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, March 24, 1-3:30 p.m.
The Easter Egg Hunt is intended for children 12 and under; admission is only $5 per person.
The Easter Bunny will be “hopping” in at the State Park and he has brought lots of goodies to share. The public is invited to join in on the fun, as the Historic Staunton River Foundation and the Staunton River Battlefield State Park host their eighth annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 23 from 1 – 3:30 p.m. Registration begins at 1 p.m., followed by an exciting Easter Egg Hunt from 1:15-1:45 p.m. with other activities such as visiting the Easter Bunny; Easter Fishing; Cake Walk; Pick-Up-Ducks, Petting Live Bunnies; and more will run from 2-3:30 p.m.
The children will be divided into groups according to their ages for the Easter Egg Hunt.
Children ages 10 and under need to be accompanied by an adult. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Bring your Easter Egg Basket and camera, and don’t forget to bring your family and friends.
In the event of inclement weather, the rain date will be held Sunday, March 24.
