Quilting Ladies exhibit continues at the Prizery

South Boston News
Currently on exhibit in the Cage Gallery at the Prizery is “Quilting Ladies,” sponsored by Parsons-Bruce Art Association and the Halifax County Industrial Development Authority. The show, designed and organized by Ralph Wileman, is the association’s contribution to “Minds Wide Open,” Virginia’s 2010 celebration of Women in the Arts. The exhibit is a salute to the North Halifax Quilting Ladies and focuses on the history and purpose of the group and information on the art of quilting. Pictured is eighty-five year Christine Wade in action. A member of the Stovall community, the former Burlington employee enjoys her role with the quilting ladies.
