The Town of Halifax Farmers Market will hold a rummage sale on Saturday, April 6, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The rummage sale will be held at the Town of Halifax Farmers Market site located at 209 South Main Street.

We expect to have a huge assortment of items for sale, such as toys, books, household items, clothing, furniture, small appliances in working condition, lawn and garden and many other items.

Proceeds from the rummage sale will be used to fund future Farmers Market activities in addition to continue to provide much needed vendor equipment. The Town of Halifax Farmers Market will have its first indoor winter market this season, which will be open Dec. 7, 14, & 21, 8 a.m.-noon and these proceeds will also help with the purchase of vendor equipment needed for the indoor winter market.

Smart shoppers can shop early on Friday, April 5 when the doors will open from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and for a $5 donation.

Anyone wishing to donate rummage sale items may bring them to Halifax Town Hall on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Donations will be accepted through April 4. All donations are tax-deductible and receipts are available upon request.

All purchases are on a ‘cash-and-carry’ basis. In state checks with proper ID will be accepted, but no credit cards, please.

For any large items that need to be dropped off at the Farmers Market or for more information please call Denise Barksdale at 434-476-2343.
