Alison Streeter has just celebrated her 10-year anniversary of living in South Boston. Alison is currently the president of the Community Arts Center Foundation that runs The Prizery and sings with the local band 6th and Main. She’s one of the stars of “The Marvelous Wonderettes.” which runs Oct. 11-19.

Amahl and the Night Visitors auditions Sunday at The Prizery

The Prizery will produce the famous Christmas opera “Amahl and the Night Visitors” this Christmas with performances Dec. 13, 14, 15 and 16. The opera was first seen on Dec. 24, 1951, broadcast live from NBC’s Rockefeller Center studio as the debut performance of the Hallmark Hall of Fame.

Voice, instrument lessons at The Prizery

The Prizery arts center in South Boston is offering arts education classes for students of all ages in multiple arts disciplines. Lessons in traditional musical instruments; banjo, fiddle, guitar will be taught by Mark Weems. Kevin and Bryan Matheson will teach violin and viola, and Emily Byrne will offer voice training. All lessons will begin in September.
