Ash Avenue welcomes new children/youth ministers

Ash Avenue called Stephen and Jami Hunt as its new part-time children & youth ministers. They officially began their service in March 2010. Jami is a 1996 graduate of Halifax County High School and a 2000 graduate of Radford University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies. While growing up at Ash Avenue, Jami was active in GAís, Acteens, Bible Drills, and various other activities. For the past ten years she has been teaching and ministering in the private and public school sector. In addition to the ministry, Jami is employed with Halifax County Public Schools. Stephen (ìSteveî) is a 1995 graduate of Blacksburg High School in Blacksburg. Before joining Ash Avenue, he was confirmed at Christ Episcopal Church in 1990 and spent his high school years in fellowship with JV, Sprint, Young Life, and various other Christian organizations. As an avid guitarist and singer, he hopes to bring a musically charged atmosphere to the youth ministry at Ash Avenue. Steve is currently employed at Molasses Grill in Halifax. He is making plans to finish his degree in theology. If you or your church would like to connect with them, call the church office at 572-2006.
