PARSONS-BRUCE ART ASSOCIATION PREPARES FOR “AN AFFAIR OF THE ARTS.” The biennial art show and sale to benefit The Prizery is set for Oct. 10-23 featuring the works of over sixty local, regional and international artists. Tickets are now available for the opening night Gala for $60 per person and can be purchased at The Prizery, or by calling 434.572.8339. Tickets are also available online at http://www.prizery.com. A free public open house will be held on Sunday, Oct. 11, from 1-3 p.m. The two week event includes arts-related programs also at no cost including a lecture and demonstration of wheel thrown ceramics on Thursday, Oct. 15; a display of floral interpretation of the art by local garden clubs on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 20 and 21; and an evening with author Emyl Jenkins who will read and sign her latest book The Big Steal.
