Brooke Nicole Jacobs, Andre Lewis Inge wed
SoVaNow.com / September 04, 2013The marriage of Brooke Nicole Jacobs to Andrew Lewis Inge took place on June 1, at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle. The Rev. William Weeks pastor of the bride officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Donald and Evone Jacobs of Buffalo Junction and the granddaughter of Peggy Jacobs of Hopewell.
The groom is the son of Harrison and Becky Inge of Chase City and the grandson of Reba Inge of Chase City.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white gown of satin accented with sequins on bodice. The front was a split over lay with a five-foot train embroidered with love knots. Her headpiece was a princess tiara with a short length veil trimmed in pearls made by her mother. She carried a bouquet of white orchids, purple roses, trimmed with white ribbons, and her grandmother Tillotson’s handkerchief trimmed with lace from her mothers wedding vial.
Tiffany Jacobs served as her sister’s maid of honor. Cassandra Mosesley served as her sister’s matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Amy Hite and Lena Mabe friends of the bride. They wore plum purple long satin dresses and carried bouquets matching the brides. Morgan Morris friend of the bride and Hana Yancey cousin of the bride served as junior flower girls. They wore white satin tea length dresses with plum purple sashes. They had wrist corsages of white and purple roses and carried wooden baskets of purple rose petals to drop for the bride to walk on.
Harrison Inge served as his son’s best man. The groomsmen were Edward Inge brother of the groom, Andy Wells and Bob Davis friends of the groom. The ring bearers were Jonathan Lambert cousin of the bride and Nathan Inge nephew of the groom. The groom and groomsmen wore black tuxes with white shirts and purple stripe ties.
The church was decorated in white orchids, purple roses, and greens. A lighted archway was set for the bride and groom to repeat their vows under. The unity candle was a white floating rose candle.
Suzanne Inge sister-in-law of groom played piano. Kim Morris friend of bride sang the Parents Prayer while the mothers lit candles. Wedding party marched in to Cannon D. The bride marched in to Can’t Help Falling In Love With You. The unity candle was lit to Brains’ song.
Jonathan Lambert served at the guest register. Morgan Morris and Hana Yancey past out bulletins. Mary Beth Yancey cousin of the bride served as mistress of ceremonies.
The reception followed in the church fellowship hall. It was decorated with white orchids, purple roses, greens and floating candles. The wedding cake was a 4 tier round cake of vanilla and chocolate cakes, white icing, and trimmed in purple ruffles with bride and groom topper. Grooms’ cake was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cup cakes. The cakes were made by Cassandra Moseley sister of the bride.
The Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle Ladies Fellowship served the reception. There were about 200 in attendance.
The couple honeymooned in The Blue Ridge Mountains. They will make their home in Nelson.
Following the wedding rehearsal on Friday May 31 Brooke and Andrew were honored with a dinner in the Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle fellowship hall given by his parents Harrison and Becky Inge. A wonderful buffet was served. Afterwards Brooke was surprised with a lingerie shower given by her bridesmaids at her parents home. She received many wonderful gifts. Andrew was surprised with a movie night given by his groomsmen at Andrew’s home. A good time was had by all.
Brooke and Andrew were given a shower by her mother and sisters at Buffalo Baptist Tabernacle fellowship hall on April 6. They received many nice gifts and great refreshments were served.
Brooke was given a shower by Clarksville Elementary School coworkers on April 26 at the school.
Andrew was given a luncheon by Hewlett Packard coworkers on April 26 at the Lamplighter.
Many wonderful gifts were given at both.
Brooke and Andrew were given a shower hosted by his mother and ladies of Salem Methodist Church at the churches fellowship hall on May 6. They received many wonderful gifts and great refreshments were served.
