Worship service at Scottsburg UMC opened with the prelude “Lord, I Thank You for the Morning” and “This Is The Day” played by Lee Snead. The call to worship was “My Tribute” by the choir. Rev. Kerry Halbert had welcome remarks and announcements. The hymn of praise was “Majesty, Worship His Majesty.” The offertory hymn was “The Love Of God.” Special music was a solo “How Long Has It Been?” by Billy Ligon. The choir anthem was “There’s Within My Heart A Melody.”

Rev. Halbert read Revelations 7: 9-17 and his message was on “Heaven and the Faithful.” The hymn of response was “Shall We Gather At The River.” Rev. Halbert had joys and concerns, prayer and led the Lord’s Prayer. The closing hymn was “Marching To Zion.” Rev. Halbert had dismissal blessing and the benediction was “Bond of Love.” Tim Snead was the usher and acolyte.

Halbert had welcome remarks and announcements. The hymn of praise was “All Hail the Power of Jesus Name.” The offertory hymn was “Until Then.” Ushers were Edd Edmondson and Jim Smith. Special music was “There Is a River” by the Quintet. The choir anthem was “When We All Get To Heaven.” Rev. Halbert read Revelations 7:9-17 and his message was on “Heaven and the Faithful.” The hymn of response was “Majesty, Worship His Majesty.” Rev. Halbert had joys and concerns, prayer and led the Lord’s Prayer. The closing hymn was “Savior, Like A Shepherd Lead Us.” Rev. Halbert had dismissal blessing and the benediction was “Blest Be The Tie That Binds.” The acolytes were Megan Martin and Summer Martin.
