Worship service at Scottsburg UMC opened with the prelude "Wonderful Words of Life" played by Lee Snead. Call to worship was "There's Something About that Name" by the choir. Pastor Bonnie Pizzeck had welcome remarks, announcements, prayer and led the responsive reading from Psalm 25. Hymn of praise was "Come Thou Almighty King." Pastor Bonnie read Romans 10: 10-13 and had joys and concerns, pastoral prayer and the Lord's prayer. Call to prayer was "Spirit of the Living God" by the choir. Offertory hymn was "The Longer I Serve Him." Ushers were Tim and Eric Snead. Choir anthem was "He Keeps Me Singing." Hymn of preparation was "Sweet Hour of Prayer" followed by the Apostles Creed. Scripture reading was Matthew 26 and 28 and Pastor Bonnie's message "Lent." Sacrament of Holy Communion was observed. Meria Harris assisted Pastor Bonnie. Hymn was "There is a Fountain." Closing hymn was "Take Time to Be Holy."

Hymn of celebration was "Take Time to Be Holy." Pastor Bonnie had closing prayer. Benediction was "Sweet, Sweet Spirit." Makayla Vassar was acolyte.

Juanita Smiley visited Sybill Watts, Paul and Geraldine Clinard in Greensboro for lunch and attended a birthday party for Betty Moonie, also visited Inez Adkins and Owen Blount in hospital. Janice Snead and Juanita Smiley visited Gladys Buchanan in Lynchburg Monday.
Recent visitors of Hugh and T.T. Edmondson were Juanita Smiley, Sandra Terry, Fran Whitlow, Jason Toombs.

Libby Privette spent the weekend with Willie and Angie Privette and visited Mary and Cecil Tharpe, Donna Bunn, Faye Edmondson. They enjoyed eating at Mayflower.
