Sunday, call to worship was “His Name is Wonderful” by the choir at Hitesburg Baptist Church. The Reverend Mike Riley read the announcements and welcomed everyone. Hymn was “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus.” Prayer time ended with a prayer from the Deacon of the Week, David Bryant. Hymn was “I Am Resolved.” Choir special was “Where Could I Go?.” Everyone fellowshipped with one another while Deborah Pulliam, pianist/organist, played a couple of verses. The Rev. Riley brought the sermon entitiled “Five Reasons Christians Make Such Good Employees.” Scripture came from Ephesians 6:5-9. Hymn was “Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus.”

Last Saturday, Ann Elliott attended a bridal shower for Justin Thompson and Samantha Garner at Mount Cana Church. That evening, Dean and Ann Elliott, as well as Christian and Erica Willis, attended Justin and Samantha’s wedding. Also last Saturday, Dean, Ann and Taylor Elliott attended a graduation celebration for Jonathon Strader to honor his graduation from Bomb School given by his parents John and Laura Thompson at Merifield acres park in Clarksville. Laura Arrington and Parker Arrington droppped by for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Elliott this day as well. Last Sunday, Dean and Ann had a birthday dinner to celebrate Erica’s birthday. Those attending included Christian and Erica Willis, Layne and Laura Arrington, Parker Arrington, Norma Elliott and Taylor. Dean and Ann visited Lucille Thompson, Christian and Erica that day as well. Taylor also came home to visit for the weekend.

Judy Henley visited her mother, Esther Mae Murray, last Thursdsy.

Vicki Overby, Jade Overby, Haley Overby, Dylan Fisher, Barbara Fisher, Steve and Tammy Fisher and Derrick Fisher went to Myrtle Beach and spent most of the week there. Last Tuesday, Annie Sue Overby and Carissa Overby went to Rockbridge. Most of the Overby ladies also visited Beth during the week.

Those visiting Beth throughout the week included the Reverend Billy Wilkins, Connie Cranfill, Donald and Yvonne Overbey, the Reverend and Mrs. Mike Riley, Delores Hamlett, Rocki Hamlett, Kim Conner, Charlie Conner and another one of her friends.

Remember the sick, lost and those who have lost loved ones including the Cecil Reeves family and the Horace Murray family. Remember our great country, HBC, hospital and nursing home patients, the lost, people serving on mission, and each other as well. Also, remember our troops including Mariah Johns Adkins, Timmy Wilkinson, Brandon Barksdale, Jesse Lee Seamons, Jonathon Fisher, Jamie Epps and Dan Elliott, BIRTHDAYS: Charlie Overby, Ada Blanks, Gay Crenshaw, Daniel Overbey, Carl Smith, Austin Zoldork, ANNIVERSARIES: Wally and Kathy Babel.
