Sunday, call to worship was “O How He Loves You and Me” by the choir at Hitesburg Baptist Church. The Reverend Mike Riley read the announcements and welcomed everyone. Ruth Overby read a ‘Thank You’ card from Ed Murphy thanking the congregation for their prayers, food and other acts of kindness.

Hymn was “O How I Love Jesus.” Prayer time ended with a prayer from the Deacon of the Week, Don Loftis. Hymn was “Jesus Loves Even Me.” Choir special was “My Savior’s Love.” Everyone fellowshipped with one another while Deborah Pulliam, pianist/organist, played a couple of verses. The Rev. Riley brought the sermon entitiled “Are You Ready For Your Court Date?.” Scripture came from 2 Peter 3:1-14, 17-18, Matthew 24-25, 2 Corinthians 5:9-10 and 1 John 4:17-19. Hymn was “The Savior Is Waiting.” Visitors at HBC Sunday included Tyrus Haden, Joshua Haden, Luke Haden and Nell Daniel.

Last Tuesday at the Senior Citizens’ gathering, Jimmy Wilson sang several hymns. Tammy Lloyd sang several hymns as well. Owen Lloyd delighted everyone by singing a solo, the Hitesburg Quartet, minus David Bryant, and the congregation sang various hymns also.

Last Tuesday, Ruth Overby went to the Senior Citizens’ gathering at HBC. Those visiting her throughout the week included Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Overby and Cindy Loftis. Friday, Ruth visited Inez Young and Jane Yancey. Sunday evening, Mrs. Overby attended the Valentine’s Day supper at HBC which was provided by the HBC youth group.

Thursday, A.C. Stone visited Abraham Tillotson. One day throughout the week, Mr. Tillotson visited W.G. Elliott.

Mr. and Mrs. Dean Elliott visited Layne and Laura Arrington and Parker Arrington Saturday. Sunday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Elliott visited Lucille Thompson and Norma Elliott. That evening, Dean and Ann attended the Valentines’ Day dinner at HBC which was provided by the HBC youth. Monday, Nancy Willis, Erica Elliott, Laura, Parker and Ann went wedding dress shopping in Durham and Burlington.

Sunday, Louise Galloway visited Thomas Bailey. Jennifer Poole also visited him that day.

Remember the sick, lost and those who have lost loved ones including the Trevant Coleman family and the Brenda Clark family. Remember our great country, HBC and each other as well. Also, remember our troops including Mariah Johns Adkins, Timmy Wilkinson, Brian Seate, Forest Clark and Dan Elliott, BIRTHDAYS: Jink Overbey, Janet Bryant, Christie Merck, Colleen Merck, Alma Anderson, Heiter Griffin, Betty Willamson, Ronnie Overbey, Donnie Martin, David Allen, Lisa Riley, Jimmy Sanford.
