Sunday, call to worship was “I Will Serve Thee” by the choir at Hitesburg Baptist Church. The Reverend Mike Riley read the announcements and welcomed everyone. Hymn was “My Faith Looks Up to Thee.” Prayer time ended with a prayer from the Deacon of the Week, Dean Elliott. Hymn was “Have Faith in God.” Tammy Lloyd sang the special entitled “God on the Mountain.” Everyone fellowshipped with one another while Deborah Pulliam, pianist/organist, played a couple of verses. The Rev. Riley brought the sermon entitiled “Questions of God Series #1-Where Are You?.” The hymn “I Gave My Life for Thee” was read. Scripture came from Genesis 3:9, Psalms 139:23 and 24, Matthew 10:33, Genesis 3:8 and Romans 5. Hymn was “There is a Fountain.” Those wishing to, tied knots/bows in/on two prayer quilts which were for Jean Daniel and Elaine Morris. Visitors at HBC Sunday included Al and Elaine Morris.

Those visiting Ruth Overby throughout the week included Mitzie Waller and Leslie Overby. Saturday, Ruth, Mitzie, Sam Parham and Norma Elliott went to Mrs. Inez Young’s birthday party at the Virgilina Fire Department. Mrs. Overby also visited Norma Elliott for her birthday during the week.

Last Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Roosevelt Stone had their family over to their house for supper to celebrate Sandra Weary’s birthday. Those there helping her celebrate were Trevor Weary, Josh Stone, Tim and Paula Stone, Lindsey Stone, Sidney Stone, Hannah Weary and Josh Stembridge. Thursday evening, Judy attended a birthday celebration for Cindy Loftis at Chub Lake Country Club in Roxboro, NC. Mrs. Stone also visited Johnny and Julia Rice Saturday. That afternoon, she went to a baby shower for Julie Riley at Hitesburg church.

Last Wednesday, Abraham Tillotson visited A.E. Morris. Thursday, Abraham visited W.G. Elliott. Monday, Abraham visited Mr. Morris again and Jerry Puryear.

Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Elliott took Norma Elliott out to eat at Smokin’ Jakes House of BBQ in celebration of her birthday. Monday, Norma visited Mary Alice Murray.

Remember the sick, lost and/or unchurched and those who have lost loved ones including the Frazier Murray family, the Sonya Allen’s mother’s family, the Charlie Harris family, the Mary Frances Whitt ‘Bye’ Cole family and the Billy Hite family. Remember our great country, Middle East Situation, people searching for jobs, those on missions and the Missionaries throughout the world as well. Also, remember our troops including Mariah Johns Adkins, Brian Seate, Forest Clark, Timmy Wilkinson, Brandon Barksdale and Dan Elliott,
