Sunday, call to worship was verse one of “To God Be The Glory” by the choir at Hitesburg Baptist Church. Don Loftis read the announcements and welcomed everyone. Hymn was “A New Name In Glory”. Prayer time ended with a prayer from the Deacon of the Week, Jimmy Wilson. Choir special was “The Unseen Hand”. Hymn was “I Am Thine O Lord”. Everyone fellowshipped with one another. Children’s sermon, which was lead by Ronnie Lloyd, was concerning the fact that everyone is God’s child. Children wanting to be like their parents was discussed. Reverend Bob Watts brought the sermon entitled “Are You Governed By God’s Word?”. Scripture came from Ephesians 5:25-26, Jeremiah 15:16, Matthew 4:4 and Psalms 19:7-11. Hymn was “Softly and Tenderly”. Visitors at HBC Sunday included Joey Hastings, Matt Hastings, Michael and Lindsey Proshaska, Bailey Bowen, Sammy Cramer and a couple others.

Wayne and Elizabeth Smith and two other couples recently traveled to Florida. The group returned Sunday. Michael Smith visited Frances Forlines a few times throughout the week.

Last Monday, William A. Keeton, David Martin, Alma Elliott, Autumn Elliott, Linda Puryear, Donald Wall, Annie Sue Overby, Charlie Overby and Wade Overby visited Mrs. Janie Keeton. Last Tuesday; Sambo Keeton, Annie Sue, Wade and Charlie were her guests. Last Wednesday; Annie Sue, David M. and Wade were Mrs. Keeton’s guests. Last Thursday; David M., William A. K., Gladys Elliott, Linda P., Donald W., Lois Martin, Wade, Tony Martin and

Charlie stopped by to visit with Janie. Friday; Linda, David, Donald, Sambo and Wade visited Mrs. Keeton. Saturday; David, Sambo and Wade visited Janie. Sunday, Wade and David were her guests.

Those visiting Mr. and Mrs. Willard Overby throughout the week included Raymond and Jane Yancey, Marianne Ottinger, Beth Baker, Leslie Overby and Heiter and Betty Griffin.

Throughout the week, Norma Elliott and Mrs. Inez Young visited Mrs. Hazel Blackwell and Mrs. Ersell Daniel of Oxford. The two also visited Mrs. Priscilla Overbey. Norma visited Mrs. Mary Muchmore of Clarksville. Sam Parham and Norma were in Chatham Friday evening for some music. Norma visited Mrs. Pat Newton Saturday.

Last Tuesday, Abraham Tillotson attended the funeral services for Ben Coghill at Watkins Cooper Lyon Funeral Home in Clarksville. Last Friday afternoon, he visited Roosevelt and Judy Stone.

Mrs. Ralston, as well as Donald Overbey and Yvonne Overbey, visited Mr. and Mrs. Decatur Overbey several times throughout the week. Sunday; she, as well as David and Janet Bryant, visited Lynn and Annie Sue Overby.

The deacons of HBC and Rev. Bob Watts were on a retreat Friday night through Saturday morning. Saturday evening, they and their wives enjoyed dinner at The Homestead in Roxboro.
