Kelly Nicole Newby, Wallace Gray Nunn Jr. wed
SoVaNow.com / January 04, 2013Surrounded by a gathering of close friends and family, Kelly Nicole Newby and Wallace Gray Nunn Jr. were united in marriage at Cloverdale Quarters, Sutherlin, on Oct. 27. The Reverend Norman Talley officiated.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her daughter, Alayna Jade Newby.
Kelly Nicole is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael D. Puryear of Clover and Mr. and Mrs. Michael D. Canada of South Boston. She is the granddaughter of T. Allen Reeves and the late Glenna Reeves and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis H. Canada.
Gray is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Gray Nunn Sr. of Virgilina. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Pool Tuck Sr. of Virgilina and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Edwin Nunn of Clarksville.
The bride wore a strapless gown of lace and chapel length train.
Wallace G. Nunn Sr. served as his son's best man. Groomsmen were Joey Adams, Casey Brewer, Shane Brewer, Craig Spencer, Jacob Talley and Larry Watts.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Nick Long and soloist David Martin.
\Beverly S. Murray and Casey Brewer were readers. Jo Anne Brewer served as mistress of ceremonies.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Wallace G. Nunn Sr. at Cloverdale Quarters. The wedding dinner, hosted by the groom's parents and the bride and groom, was also held at Cloverdale Quarters. Music was provided by Nick Long.
Other events honoring the couple included a Jack and Jill Wedding Shower and Trap Shoot, followed by dinner at Granville County Wildlife Club, Oxford, N.C., on Saturday, Oct. 6, hosted by Mr. and Mrs. Thurman Brewer and family.
Kelly is a registered nurse at Halifax Regional Hospital and Gray is a Halifax County deputy sheriff.
Following a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean Islands, the couple resides at Red Bank, Virgilina.
