Meredith Carol Roller, Taylor KIrk Brown wed
SoVaNow.com / November 29, 2012Meredith Carol Roller and Taylor Kirk Brown of Wilmington, N.C. were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Wilmington. Rev. John Misenheimer officiated. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Hanover Seaside Club, Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
Meredith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Meredith Roller of Asheville, N.C. She is the granddaughter of Mildred Roller of Clover, and the late Frank Meredith (Pony) Roller and also the late Mr. and Mrs. John A. Duffer of Red Oak.
Taylor is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Kirk Brown of Wilmington. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown and the late Virginia Brown and also the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Smith, all of Wilmington.
The bride was escorted by her father and presented in marriage by her parents. Tarrah Crews and Tamara Wrenn, both of Roxboro, N.C., served as their sister’s Maid and Matron of Honor. Bridesmaids were Brooke Mooney, niece of the bride of Roxboro and Megan Young, friend of the bride of Seattle, Wash. Junior bridesmaids were Lily Brown, niece of the groom, Reagan Roberts, friend of bride both of Wilmington, Makenzie Canaday, cousin of the groom of Raleigh, N.C., and Allison Adams, cousin of the bride of Atlanta, Ga.
Kirk Brown, the groom’s father served as best man. The groomsmen were Graham Brown of New York City, brother of the groom, Jason Wrenn of Roxboro, brother-in-law of the bride, Darren Prevatte of Charleston, S.C., and Bryan Porter of Wilmington, friends of the groom. Junior Groomsmen were Garrett and Gavin Wrenn of Roxboro, nephews of the bride and Austin and Parker Greene of Mebane, N.C., nephews of the groom. Ushers were Jeremy Greene of Mebane, brother-in-law of the groom, Lewis Hobbs of Richmond, Craig Garrison and Brendan Hynes, both of Wilmington; all friends of the groom.
Program and guest registry attendants were Lauren Brown of Wilmington and Kelly Greene of Mebane, sisters of the groom and Lincoln Greene of Mebane, nephew of the groom. Organist was Bill Remele and soloist was Lindsey Bennett, both of Wilmington.
The bride is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Wilmington and received her BS in nursing. She is an RN at New Hanover Regional in Wilmington.
The groom is employed with Duke Energy in the line and services division in Wilmington.
Following their honeymoon in Aruba, the couple will reside in Wilmington.
