Our minister, Pastor Norman Talley, had morning services at Union Christian Church Sunday; Lottie Nunn was pianist; special music by Lynn Cooper; members of YUM meet at Berry Hill Nursing Home March 1 at 1:00 p.m.; members of the women’s fellowship meet in the fellowship hall Thursday at 1:00 p.m.

Our special prayers for the family of Averette Myers.

Virgilina Volunteer Fire Department will have a stew Saturday, ready at 11 a.m.

Our community welcomes our new Slagle Grocery Store to Virgilina.

Thanks to Fannie Mae Tuck, President of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 337, for the Valentine’s sent to local Army veterans and service men.

Mrs. Catherine Smith is feeling much better and those visiting her were Peggy Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Henry Smith and Brandon, Dorothy Hite, Homer McClure, Mrs. Cathy Keeton, Mrs. Bonnie Williamson, Clifton Thomas Smith, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Smith and Johnathan.

Mrs. Susan Keeton and Mrs. Kathy Keeton were overnight guests Tuesday of Mrs. Catherine Smith.

Mrs. Mason Pulliam visited Mr. and Mrs. Casey Tuck and Dustin Thursday.

Mrs. Mary L. Murray visitors were Gene Murray, Mrs. Barbara Loftis, Rhonda Loftis, Robin Walford, Mrs. William Rice, Fannie Mae Tuck and Brenda Clay.

Dinner guests of Fannie Mae Tuck Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Tuck, Pam Tuck, Mrs. Michael Conner and Maci, Mr. and Mrs. Jarrad Tuck and children.

Visiting Hannah Hite were Mrs. Tony McGregor, Mrs. Fannie Mae Tuck, Mrs. Dave Jaloway, Henry Murray.

Mrs. Tony McGregor spent several days with Jennifer Jean Clement, Mary Anna and Sarah Elizabeth.
