Bobby Whitfield, former pastor, had opening prayer; director of music was Barbara Carnevale; acolytes were Lesley Cole and Amber Tuck; Wayne Bowen was greeter; special music by the choir “Blessed Assurance.” Breakfast will be served February 3 at 9:00 a.m. by Ralph Murray and Wayne Bowen for everyone, all are welcome to attend; women’s fellowship at the home of Hannah Hite on January 29 at 2:00 p.m.; Bible study January 23 at 7:00 p.m.
Our sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Elizabeth Compton Pulliam, funeral services were Wednesday, and to the family of Billy Glasscock, age 66, son of the late John Henry and Janie Hatcher Glasscock of Rougemont, NC at the Virgilina Cemetery Sunday afternoon.
The Virgilina Volunteer Fire Department will have a stew Saturday, February 2, ready at noon.
