Pastor Norman Talley had the services Sunday at Union Christian Church; Pat Newton was pianist; Cindy Keeton had special music; dedication service was held for Sierra Hope and Katelyn Elizabeth Johnson, twins of Jason and Michelle Johnson.

The Community Watch and Crime Prevention meeting will be October 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Virgilina Fire Department.

A large group attended the “Thank You” from the Virgilina Town Council for Mr. and Mrs. Tony Tuck and staff of Virgilina Grocery and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Chandler and family of Chandler’s One Stop for many years.

Visiting Morine Rice during the week were Jimmy Newton, Jason Murray, Mrs. Billy Murray.

Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Nunn were in Raleigh Saturday.

Visiting Hannah Hite were Mr. and Mrs. Roger Slagle, Mrs. Dave Jaloway, Mrs. Catherine Smith, Mrs. Fannie Mae Tuck, Wayne Bowen.

Mrs. Robert Harris, Gene Murray, Mrs. Barbara Loftis, Doyle Rice, Mr. and Mrs. William Rice, Mrs. Rhonda Loftis, Wayne Bowen, Brandy Clay visited Mrs. Mary L. Murray during the week.

Mrs. Mason Pulliam and John and Mrs. Rob Atkins visited Edith Atkins Sunday.
