“Being a Hospice volunteer offers a unique opportunity to build very special relationships,” said Misty Epps, social worker and volunteer coordinator for Halifax Regional Hospice and Palliative Care, “not only with patients, but with their families as well. Hospice volunteers give from the heart. They give freely of their time to provide comfort and support to patients and families and see it as an honor to walk with them on their final journey. They are a special group.”

Hospice Masquerade Ball set for March 15

Friday, March 15 is the date set for the eighth annual Hospice Gala. The Masquerade Ball takes place at the Prizery beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the Hospice office at Halifax Regional Hospital. Treat yourself to a night of mystery, extravagance and intrigue on Friday, March 15 at Halifax Regional Hospice’s eighth annual Gala – a Masquerade Ball. The fundraising event begins at 7 p.m. at the Prizery and promises to be an evening full of surprises. Tickets, at $50 per person, are available at the Hospice office.
