HCHS Class of 2018 takes stage for graduation Saturday

ABB lays off 69

Sixty-nine employees of ABB were laid off late last week, according to ABB Vice President and General Manager Milt Axton. Axton said on Thursday afternoon that employees were told at the end of their shifts on Wednesday that their jobs would be eliminated.

ABB makes donation to The Prizery

MAKES LARGE DONATION TO THE PRIZERY — ABB announced on Friday that it is donating $19,500 to The Prizery to be used for music projects. Employees contributed funding for the donation.
The ABB Foundation had made a $19,500 grant to The Prizery community arts center for furtherance of The Prizery’s children’s music programs.

A Scottsburg Fourth of July

It was just a great day in Scottsburg on the Fourth of July, said Ricky Gordon, Scottsburg fire chief, who said he and department members were just “super pleased” with the turnout for the town’s Fourth of July festival. “It was probably the largest crowd we’ve ever had that continued to stay with us for most of the day.”
