School budget hearing tonight

County supervisors will hold their regular monthly meeting tonight since their scheduled meeting for last Monday night was postponed due to the area's snowfall. Tonight the Board will hold a public hearing on the school's proposed $61.4 million budget for the coming year beginning at 6 p.m. in the second floor meeting room of the Mary Bethune Complex.

Supes relax terms on M&S lease commitment

Halifax County Supervisors, meeting in a specially called meeting last Thursday evening, spent most of their time in closed session. They took action on several items following the executive session, including lifting a restriction on the $400,000 loan they had promised the Industrial Development Authority last year.
