If your kids love to play with Legos, they might enjoy a new venture at the South Boston Public Library.

The Afterschool Lego Club: A STEM Experience, for grades 3-6, will be offered at the South Boston library branch starting Thursday, Aug. 24. The newly-formed Lego Club will meet eight more times, each on a Thursday — Sept. 7 and 21, Oct. 5 and 19, Nov. 2 and 16 and Dec. 14 — from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the 509 Broad Street location.

The after-school Lego club will be led by Vashunda Richardson with the Americorps program, working in tandem with the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center. The library will provide the space and help to provide the Legos; outside donations of Lego blocks and supplies are welcome.

Pre-registration for the club is open at svhec.org/legoclub. Information is also available at http://www.Halifaxlibrary.org or by calling 434-575-4228.
