The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office is searching for two armed suspects who robbed the A-Plus convenience store on Highway 903 near Bracey early Monday morning.

Deputy Josh Watts responded to the A-Plus at 3384 Highway 903 around 1:20 a.m. on Aug. 6 after receiving the report of an armed robbery. The cashier on duty said two men entered the store brandishing weapons, with their faces and heads covered. They forced the cashier to open the register and hand over an undisclosed amount of cash.

In addition to the money, the robbers left the store with cartons of Newport and Pall Mall cigarettes.

One of the suspects was wearing a dark blue bandanna over his face with a white ball cap and short sleeve dark red or maroon shirt and dark pants. The other was wearing a white t-shirt with a light blue bandanna over his face and a Denver Broncos cap on his head.

Watts’ report offered no additional information on how the robbers left the scene or in which direction they traveled, but the incident remains under investigation.

In other crimes, Watts contacted the owner of ReNew Crew of Lake Country on Sunday, after noticing a window in one of the company vans was broken. The discovery was made while Watts was on patrol on Highway 903 in the Bracey area.

According to the owner, two pressure washers with pumps and Honda motors were missing from inside the van.

Anyone with information about these or other crimes is asked to contact the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office at (434) 738-6171 or Mecklenburg County Crimesolvers at 1-877-676-8477. Calls are anonymous and can lead to cash awards.

Another day has gone by and again young black males are to damn lazy to pull up their pants and be a man and get a job and work for their needs. This is why I will not hire any of them anymore for our company and only will hire LEGAL Hispanics because they want to work and will work hard they do not lay out on Monday because they was sick, had to go to court, their grandma died (for the 5th time) etc. etc. We start all our employees with a base rate of $13.25 per hour with piece rate. On average Hispanic makes $800-$875 per week in piece rate others $450-$525. Hoping they catch the thugs that robbed the store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SABMFSOBS!!!!
