Beach music festival draws hundreds to cap off Lakefest weekend / July 24, 2013
The 20th annual Buggs Island Beach Music Festival, a fundraiser for the Clarksville Volunteer Fire Department, provided a near-perfect ending to Lakefest weekend. Several hundred people pitched tents at Robbins Park on Sunday for a day of music, food and fun.

Throughout the afternoon, festival goers danced, sang and kicked back to the music of JB and The Get Down Browns band, Jim Quick and Coastline, the Craig Woolard Band, and deejay Mike Brooks.

CVFD President Richard Elliott and the members of department again thanked attendees and sponsors who helped make the festival a success: The Pizza Pub, Rugged Country Outfitters, Great Wall Chinese Restaurant, Janice and Glenn Edwards, Buggs Island Archery, Edwards Construction Company, Electronics, Etc., Lakeside Video & Tanning, Mecklenburg County YMCA, New York Life Insurance Company, Ligon Excavating, David S.
