South Boston News
Traffic backed up on U.S. Route 58 Monday morning around 8 a.m. when a westbound tractor trailer slid into the highway median strip. The rig was attempting to make a U-turn on U.S. 58 just south of the entry to the Dollar General warehouse when the mishap occurred. Traffic in the east bound lane was backed up for half a mile. There were no injuries and little damage as the county sent out a wrecker to free up the stuck rig. (David Conner II photo)
