Biker dies in collision with deer

A single vehicle crash Saturday near Loves Mill south of Kenbridge claimed the life of 56-year-old Antonio Edmonds of Kenbridge.

According to a report filed by Trooper T.W. Reeves with the Virginia State Police, Edmonds, who was riding a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, struck a deer which caused him to run off the road to the left and hit an embankment. Edmonds died at the scene.

The crash occurred at approximately 11:47 a.m. on Saturday, June 1 near the intersection of Reedy Creek Road and Plank Road in Lunenburg County. Reeves estimated the damage to the motorcycle at $5,000.
