Boydton Day arrives this weekend / October 25, 2017
The 41st annual Boydton Day celebration gets under way Saturday, when the Courthouse Square in Boydton will be filled with vendors, music and a day of fun for all participants. Several dozen vendors have signed up to sell everything from crafts to jewelry and anything in between including funnel cakes, fries, hot dogs and Brunswick stew.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. from the old Boydton High School lot and will feature antique cars, trucks and tractors. Visitors can check out the antique vehicles while there will be special games to entertain the children. There will also be an exhibit of lovely handmade quilts on display at Boyd Tavern.

The B.E.Z. band will provide musical entertainment during the day’s event and Dance It Out students will also provide special entertainment.

Earlier on Friday evening, beginning at 7 p.m. the Old Presbyterian Meeting House will host the annual Vesper service which is open to the public.

The weekend’s events will wrap up with a community church service on Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Bingo Hall.
