Boydton Day is almost here / October 18, 2017

The 41st annual Boydton Day celebration is getting closer. On Oct.28, the Courthouse Square in Boydton will be crowded with vendors, music and fun. Several dozen vendors have signed up to sell everything from food to crafts to jewelry and everything in between. Funnel cakes, fries, hotdogs and Brunswick Stew are just a few of the delicious items that will be available.

The Boydton Day parade, including antique cars and tractors, will begin at 10 a.m. from the old Boydton High School lot. The B.E.Z. band will play throughout the day and Dance It Out students will provide entertainment. Visitors can check out the antique tractors, special games will be available for the children and a beautiful quilt exhibit can be viewed at the Boyd Tavern.

The annual Vesper Service will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. at the Old Presbyterian Meeting House and is open to the public. The weekend events will wrap up with a community church service on Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Bingo Hall. For more information and vendor applications, click on
