On Sunday, May 26, also at 11 a.m., the annual Virgilina Memorial Day Service will be held at the Virgilina Cemetery with state Sen. Frank Ruff of Clarksville serving as guest speaker.

The Virgilina service will take place one day after the town’s Summerfest celebration, featuring the Saturday morning parade and food, craft vendors and musical entertainment throughout the day.

About the speakers:

The Halifax event is sponsored by the John M.
