Bullet strikes teen girl inside Spring Avenue home / July 02, 2018

A 15-year-old girl was shot in the leg Saturday night while she was inside a residence on Spring Avenue in South Boston, and police are seeking the public’s help in finding the shooter.

Members of the South Boston Police Department, Halifax County Sheriff’s Office and Town of Halifax Police responded to the scene of the shooting, at the 1800 block of Spring Avenue, just after 11 p.m. Saturday. The 15-year-old was rushed to the Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital emergency room where she was treated and released.

South Boston Police are handling the investigation into the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the South Boston Police Department at 434-575-4273, or the Halifax County Crime Line at 434-476-8445. If your tip through the Halifax County Crime Line results in an arrest and conviction, you may receive a cash reward.
