Caution urged for Prom Night / April 19, 2018
Ahead of Prom Night on Saturday, the South Boston Police Department is urging all motorists to use extra caution on the roadways to ensure that the evening’s event is a safe one.

As in years past, there will be a procession of vehicles to bring students to the HCHS Junior-Senior Prom. These vehicles will line up in the access road between the middle school and the high school. This will create traffic congestion in the area of Old Halifax Road, especially between 6-9 p.m., police caution.

South Boston Chief Jim Binner wants to remind everyone that the safety of students, school faculty and prom spectators is the most important part of the evening’s festivities.
