Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Woodstock and the Peanuts gang joined the namesake lovable loser for “A Charlie Brown Christmas” parade Sunday in South Boston. Delayed by a day by rainy weather, the South Boston Christmas Parade drew thousands of spectators for Peanuts-themed floats, marching bands, and of course, Santa Claus greeting parade goers at the end. The first place awards for best floats went to The Worship Center (church category), the HCHS Culinary Arts & FCCLA program (non-profits) and Rice Tractor (business). The overall award for Most Creative Use of Lights went to HCHS Culinary Arts & FCCLA, and the overall award for Best Theme went to The Worship Center. / December 03, 2018
