SoVaNow.com / February 26, 2014

Responding to a report of stabbing on Saturday, Chase City Police found 39-year old Kenneth Wilson of North Carolina with multiple stab wounds at a home on Roberts Street in Chase City.

Police arrested Bryant L. Wilson of Chase City and charged him with malicious wounding in connection with the Feb. 22 incident.

Chase City Police Chief J.A. Jordan said Bryant Wilson was not at the scene when officers arrived at the Roberts Street residence to investigate.

Bryant Wilson was later apprehended outside of town by South Hill Police and Mecklenburg County deputies.

Bryant Wilson is currently being held at Meherrin Regional Jail in Boydton without bond. His preliminary hearing is set for April in Mecklenburg County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

The condition of Kenneth Wilson was unknown at press time.
