Clarksville man dies in Shiney Rock Road crash

One person died in a crash on Shiney Rock Road near Clarksville Tuesday, Nov. 18, just after 1:30 p.m.
Virginia State Police say Clemon Rice, 75 of Clarksville was driving a 2014 Nissan Versa south on Shiney Rock Road (Route 723) when his vehicle struck a tree that had fallen across the road near the 2800 block. Rice, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
