Council to meet Tuesday

South Boston Town Council will meet tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in Council Chamber on Yancey Street, a day later than usual due to the Columbus Day holiday.

Council has a relatively short agenda with the strategic goals and objectives for 2010-2012 being their top issue. They are also expected to name a citizen to serve on the Transportation Safety Commission along with County representatives.

Council is also expected to authorize Town officials to purchase certain land for the expansion of the Town’s cemeteries.
