Credit card skimmer found on gas pump / July 15, 2019

The South Boston Police Department is searching for the person or persons responsible for placing a credit card skimming device on a gas pump at the Murphy Express convenience store on Old Halifax Road across from Walmart.

According to police, a citizen complained that several charges were placed on a debit/credit card from locations outside of Virginia. The investigation led to the Murphy Express Gas Station, where the credit card skimmer was found on one of the pumps at the business. Police have not been able to identify how long the skimmer had been on the gas pump.
