Creek victim’s family receiving friends, donations

SoVaNow.com / June 17, 2013
The family of the man who died swimming in a Vernon Hill creek last week is receiving friends at 323 Valley Drive, Apartment 318, South Boston.

Jonathan Brumfield, 31, worked construction, and he had enrolled in classes at Danville Community College just hours before his death. The investigation is continuing, and his body has been sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Richmond for an autopsy. However, Sheriff Fred Clark says no foul play is suspected.

The family is also grateful for donations to help cover burial expenses.
