Daniel to stay on longer / October 03, 2013

Following a closed session of South Boston Town Council on Monday night, Town Manager Ted Daniel agreed to extend his employment with the town until the summer of 2014.

With Mayor Ed Owens and Council members urging the town manager to remain at the helm while several projects are under way, Daniel said he would delay his Jan. 1, planned retirement until later in the summer.

In other business following the closed session, Council named George Leonard, Erle Scott Coleman Speece and Robert Bates to serve on the Lake County Development Corporation for the next two years.
