Downtown Harvest Fest called off for 2020 due to pandemic / August 03, 2020
Destination Downtown South Boston announced this week that the 2020 South Boston Harvest Festival scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 26 has been cancelled due to the health and safety concerns associated with the continued COVID-19 pandemic.

Festival organizers have committed to making all paid vendor application fees good for the 2021 festival or return the fees if necessary.

According to Tamyra Vest, executive director of Destination Downtown South Boston, “While we regret the negative impact cancellation has on our vendors, entertainers, businesses and the community, our first obligation is the health and safety of our community and visitors.”

The 2021 event has been scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 25.
