Drug charges filed / July 08, 2009
Two South Boston men have been arrested recently and charged with drug violations by members of the Halifax/South Boston Regional Narcotics and Gang Task Force. On July 4, Silas William Barnett, 53, was arrested on five counts of distribution of cocaine, four counts of conspiring to distribute cocaine and four counts of gang participation. Barnett is being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail System without bond.

Twenty year old Kelvin Wise Stovall, “Chucky”, was arrested and charged with one count of distribution of cocaine and one count of conspiring to distribute cocaine on Monday, July 6. Stovall was released by the magistrate on a $3,500 unsecured bond, according to Special Agent Mark T. Campbell.
