DUI, drug charges filed by South Boston police

South Boston Police cited several drivers for driving on suspended licenses and also made one arrest for possession of marijuana over the past weekend.

Cpl. M. W. Bowen charged 54 year old Randal Scot Rose of Sutherlin with possession of marijuana on Saturday.

Bowen also charged 28 year old Daniel Arthur Bunker of South Boston with driving on a suspended or revoked license on Friday.

On Saturday, Cpl. Bowen charged 58 year old Aureita Virgen of South Boston with driving without a valid operator’s license.

On Saturday Senior Patrol Officer T. W. Bush charged Bunker with the violation of a protective order and Bunker was being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

Bush also charged 53 year old Edward Ray Angel of South Boston with public drunkenness on Friday. He was being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail until he was sober.

Don Lee Ligon, 53, of Scottsburg was charged by Bush on Friday with a first time offense of driving under the influence. He was being held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail on a $2,000 unsecured bond.

On Saturday Sgt. S. Warf charged 31 year old Woody Bradshaw of South Boston with driving on a suspended license.
