Free covid testing set Friday at fairgrounds / October 22, 2020

The Virginia Department of Health is offering free COVID-19 testing Friday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m.-noon at the Halifax County fairgrounds, while supplies last.

Tests will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis. No insurance is needed and no appointment is required; this is a free service.

To protect healthcare workers, the public is asked to wear masks, maintain at least six feet of distance between yourself and other people at all times and tell the healthcare provider if you are having symptoms of COVID-19.

For questions about the event, call the local health department at 476-4863. This free testing is being held in partnership with Halifax County and the Virginia Department of Health.

The Halifax County Fairgrounds are located at 1188 James D. Hagood Highway., South Boston.
