Funeral services Tuesday for Steve Cassada
SoVaNow.com / January 07, 2013Steven Michael Cassada, of South Boston, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Perky's in Campbell County.
He was born in Halifax County on Oct. 23, 1953 and was 59 years of age. He was the son of Lois Chesson Cassada and the late James Wallace "Mike" Cassada. He was married to Vicky Reeves Cassada, was a member of Dan River Baptist Church, American Legion Post 8, American Legion Riders and Patriot Guard Riders.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Angela Leah Kelly and Tony of Spring City, Tenn., and Hollie Cassada Short and Frankie of South Boston; one son, Allen James "A.J." Cassada and Rebecca Barrow of Chesterfield; three grandchildren, Caitlin and Christian Armitage and Joseph Lee "JoJo" Cassada. Steve is also survived by two sisters, Carolyn Cassada Glass and Marshall of South Boston and Beverly Cassada Hughes and Andy of Nathalie and a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, Jan. 8 at Dan River Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Gibson officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Halifax County Humane Society, P.O. Box 969, South Boston, VA 24592.
