GAS PRICED ULTRA CHEAP

South Boston NewsSouth Boston News
Long lines of vehicles formed Wednesday at Bridgeview Exxon in South Boston after the station dropped the price of unleaded gas to $1.49 a gallon. A short distance away on U.S. Route 58, Gene’s Orange Market had regular unleaded on sale for $1.69 a gallon. Prior to Wednesday, the cheapest gas in town cost around $2 a gallon. “Our gas price is low due to the dropping national average cost of gasoline,” said Kimberly Poole, owner of Bridgeview Exxon on Seymour Drive and Route 360. The sharp decline in gas prices is the result of slowing demand with the coronavirus and an ongoing oil price war between Russia and Saudi Arabia that has sent crude oil prices plummeting around the world.
