Get ‘social’ with the Chamber

SoVaNow.com / March 04, 2013
The Halifax County Chamber of Commerce is putting the focus on social media at its annual meeting and banquet coming up Tuesday, March 19 at the World of Sports.

“This year’s Annual Banquet Committee is very excited because we are mixing things up,” said committee member Pamela Taylor. “This year there will not be a speaker. We are focusing on the opportunity for Chamber members to network and get ‘social’ with social media. Guests will be entertained with a fun-filled trivia game about our local business community. Chamber members, login to your Facebook or Twitter account and get ready to post or tweet your answers.“

HYPE, Halifax Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs, will be selling raffle tickets for great trip giveaways.

All Chamber members are invited to attend the Chamber’s annual meeting and banquet, which highlights the accomplishments of the business community for the past year. The Annual Meeting will be Tuesday, March 19 at the World of Sports. Chamber members may buy Individual tickets for $40 or corporate tables for $450. Corporate Tables receive 10 tickets, a reserved table, and corporate recognition in the event program.

RSVP by March 8 or register online http://www.halifaxchamber.net/Events. Or call the Chamber office at 434-572-3085.
