Getting a jump on Halloween

South Boston News
Kids had a great time Saturday at the first-ever Trail of Treats in downtown South Boston as merchants and business owners got the Halloween holiday off to an early start. As part of the day, youths participated in a scavenger hunt relying on maps of downtown business establishments to track down an assortment of prizes. They also collected candy from merchants and enjoyed free hot dogs and bottled waters. The streets of Main and North Main were closed off to traffic as hundreds of witches, ballerinas, princesses, superheroes, ghouls and goblins filled their goodie bags full of candy and enjoyed the day. / October 30, 2017
