Halifax Council to hear from Lineburg, consider bamboo growth / November 12, 2018
Halifax Town Council will hold its monthly work session Tuesday beginning at 6:30 p.m. with Superintendent of Schools Mark Lineburg expected to speak about school facilities and the need to upgrade Halifax County High School and other county schools.

Lineburg’s presentation is the highlight of a work session agenda that also includes reports by Council’s business development, finance and current affairs committees.

Council has a public hearing set for 7 p.m. as members go into their full monthly session. The public hearing is to address amendments to the Town Code which deal with health and sanitation, weeds and debris and the obligations by property owner to control the spread of running bamboo.

Council will also consider a financing proposal for the replacement of a town police vehicle.
